I opened this salon to give my clients a second home. A place where they can come to vent, relax, and leave feeling better about themselves. Over the past few years, doing hair has become so much more than just cutting, coloring, or styling. It has given me friendships, a sense of being, and sparked within me, an extreme passion for the industry. At Jazz Me Up, I strive to create a positive, transparent, and encouraging environment in which employees are dedicated to their work and consider each other and our clients family. Every team member will be as punctual and accommodating as possible to make sure every client has the best experience! We are an intimate salon which allows us to create bonds like no other. We are always honest and fair in every aspect from pricing to ACTUAL hair needs. Whatever your budget is, your hair health questions, or future product recommendations, we are here to help!

Hello! My name is Jasmine Khaitan and I am the founder and owner of Jazz Me Up Salon. When I was 14 years old, I went to the Bahamas to do hair and makeup for a mother of the groom. On the flight home, I knew hair would someday become so much more than a hobby. At 16, I took a business class and created a full length business plan for my own salon "Jazz Me Up" which just seemed a distant dream. When I was 18, I started college for business administration and simultaneously completed cosmetology school at Arrojo in NY and Capri in NJ. At 22, I graduated from Montclair State with a Bachelor’s degree in business administration and a minor in entrepreneurship. Now at 24, my dreams are finally coming true with Jazz Me Up salon.

Throughout my time as a hair stylist, I was an assistant in NYC for a photoshoot and did hair for clients all over Spain, while studying abroad. I have gained experience, knowledge, and technique from many salons in New Jersey and have been mentored by numerous stylists. I am so grateful for those opportunities as well as having the chance to meet wonderful people over the years. I aim to teach others about the industry in the near future.
